This Privacy Policy explains how Soulverse, Inc. ("Soulverse," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Soulverse mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Soulverse is a community-based social platform. We designed the Service so users can control discoverability, profile visibility, and how they participate in community and social features.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed through:
- The Soulverse iOS app.
- Support communications (such as
support@soulverse.com). - Related websites or hosted legal/support pages (including
soulverse.com).
It does not apply to third-party services you use through links or integrations that are governed by their own policies.
2. Age Requirement
Soulverse is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
3. Information We Collect
A. Account and Authentication Information
- Email address (if you sign up with email).
- Apple Sign In identifiers and associated account data provided by Apple.
- Authentication/session data needed to maintain account access.
- Security and authentication event logs (for example, sign-in/sign-out events).
B. Profile Information
- Username and display profile information.
- Profile preference settings and visibility controls (if provided).
- Discoverability status (e.g., discoverable or hidden).
- Profile headline and profile metadata.
- Last-seen status.
C. Personal Profile Information (PII)
- First and last name (if provided).
- Sex/gender field selection (if provided).
- Birthdate (if provided).
- Location information you provide or permit: label, city, region, country, and optional approximate coordinates.
D. Photos and User Content
- Profile photos and metadata (order, primary photo designation, upload timestamps).
- Questionnaire answers and preference inputs.
- Chat messages and conversation metadata.
- Likes/favorites, follows, and profile view signals.
E. Discovery Controls and Preference Data
- Manual discovery thresholds and recipe-specific preference thresholds.
- Discovery geographic preferences (for example radius or region/country filters).
- Discovery context selections (manual/recipe/smart-recipe context).
F. Safety and Trust Data
- User reports (report reasons, comments, context, review status).
- User block/unblock records.
- Moderation-related notes and enforcement metadata.
G. Technical and Device Data
- Basic app telemetry and diagnostics needed for operation, reliability, and security.
- Server-side request metadata (for example IP-derived security logs).
H. Support and Communications
- Information you submit in support messages and email requests.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide community, profile discovery, follow, and messaging features.
- Apply the discovery and visibility settings you control.
- Operate reporting, blocking, and trust/safety workflows.
- Secure and maintain the Service, including abuse prevention and fraud detection.
- Provide customer support and account assistance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Our Core Data Commitments
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information.
No Secondary Data Exploitation
We do not use customer data for unrelated commercial profiling, data brokerage, or unrelated advertising resale purposes.
Purpose Limitation
We use data primarily to operate and secure Soulverse, including helping users discover communities, content, and one another based on user-controlled settings.
6. AI and Automated Processing
- We may use automated tooling, including AI-assisted security analysis, to help detect misconfigurations, suspicious access patterns, or potential data exposure risks in our infrastructure.
- At this time, Soulverse does not rely on autonomous AI decision-making to override your explicit discovery or visibility controls.
- If we introduce local/on-device AI assistance for discovery, recommendations, or community features in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required notices or consent flows.
- We do not authorize third parties to train unrelated public AI models on your private Soulverse content.
7. How We Share Information
We may share information with:
- Service providers/processors that help us operate Soulverse (for example cloud infrastructure, authentication, storage, and database providers).
- Safety, legal, and compliance recipients where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
- Corporate transaction participants if Soulverse is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or asset transfer.
We do not sell personal information.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate legal, safety, and operational purposes.
General retention approach:
- Account/profile data: retained while your account is active.
- Deleted-account data: removed or de-identified within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute, or backup integrity purposes.
- Safety and abuse records (e.g., reports/blocks): may be retained longer to protect users and enforce platform integrity.
- Backup systems: may retain snapshots for a limited post-deletion window.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including:
- Encrypted transport (TLS) for data in transit.
- Access controls and least-privilege patterns.
- Database security policies and monitoring.
- AI-assisted and automated security review workflows.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk.
Transparency note: As of this policy date, Soulverse may not apply full application-layer encryption for all stored user content. We continue to improve encryption and key management controls over time.
10. Your Controls and Choices
Inside Soulverse, you can:
- Edit profile and personal profile fields.
- Set discoverability (hide/show profile visibility).
- Control discovery thresholds and preference parameters.
- Block and unblock users.
- Report users and content for safety review.
- Request account deletion.
You may also request access, correction, deletion, or portability (where available by law) by contacting us.
11. U.S. State Privacy Disclosures
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights such as:
- Right to know/access.
- Right to correct inaccuracies.
- Right to delete.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.
Soulverse does not sell personal information and does not process personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising resale.

12. International Users
If you use Soulverse outside your home jurisdiction, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. We apply safeguards designed to protect transferred data as required by applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or other appropriate means and update the Effective Date above.
