Soulverse Data Policy
Effective Date: February 11, 2026 Last Updated: February 11, 2026
This Data Policy supplements the Soulverse Privacy Policy and describes Soulverse, Inc.'s data-handling commitments for the Soulverse app.
1. Core Principles
Soulverse applies the following principles to product and infrastructure decisions:
- User control first: users control discoverability, visibility, and preference thresholds.
- Purpose limitation: customer data is used to run Soulverse, safety systems, and community/social features.
- No data sale: we do not sell personal information.
- No unrelated data exploitation: we do not use customer data for unrelated data brokerage.
- Safety by design: reporting and blocking are built into core app flows.
2. Data Categories We Handle
Operational categories include:
- Account/authentication data.
- Profile and PII fields provided by users.
- Discovery preferences and thresholds.
- Questionnaire and interest-answer inputs.
- User content (photos, messages, profile text).
- Safety records (reports, blocks, moderation context).
- Basic technical logs and security diagnostics.
3. Purpose-Limited Use Policy
Soulverse uses data only for legitimate service operations, including:
- Identity and account management.
- Discovery and content-personalization operations based on user settings.
- Messaging and social interaction features.
- Safety enforcement and abuse prevention.
- Reliability, debugging, and security operations.
- Legal compliance and dispute handling.
Soulverse does not permit use of user data for unrelated commercial resale.
4. User-Directed Discovery Controls
Soulverse is built to let users directly control key discovery and visibility parameters, including:
- Profile discoverability.
- Manual and recipe-specific preference thresholds.
- Discovery scope preferences (where available).
- Blocking and reporting controls.
These controls are part of Soulverse's core data governance model.
5. AI and Automation Policy
Current policy:
- AI-assisted tools may be used for security auditing and leak/misconfiguration review.
- Automated tools are used to improve infrastructure security and integrity.
Current limitations:
- Soulverse does not currently delegate final connection, discovery, or interaction outcomes to autonomous AI systems that override user-controlled thresholds.
- Soulverse does not sell user content to train unrelated third-party AI systems.
Future use:
- If Soulverse introduces local/on-device model features for discovery, recommendation, or community assistance, users will be notified and this policy will be updated.
6. Security and Safeguards
Soulverse applies layered safeguards, including:
- Encrypted transport (TLS) for network traffic.
- Authentication and access controls.
- Database policy controls and auditing workflows.
- Abuse reporting and block enforcement controls.
Implementation note: application-layer encryption coverage may be incomplete for certain stored data as of this policy date; Soulverse continues to improve encryption architecture.
7. Retention and Deletion
Soulverse retains data for service operation, safety, and legal requirements.
Retention posture:
- Active account data retained while account is active.
- Deletion requests trigger account and data deletion workflows, with limited residual retention for backups, fraud prevention, and legal/safety obligations.
- Safety and moderation records may be retained longer when needed to protect users and platform integrity.
8. Third-Party Processing
Soulverse may engage processors to provide infrastructure and platform functionality (for example, hosted database/auth/storage and platform sign-in services). Processors are required to handle data consistent with contractual and legal obligations.
9. Data Subject Requests
Users may request access, correction, deletion, or export of eligible personal data by contacting support@soulverse.com.
Soulverse may verify requestor identity before fulfilling requests.
10. Incident Response
Soulverse maintains operational procedures for identifying and responding to suspected security incidents. Where legally required, Soulverse will provide notice to affected users and/or regulators.
11. Policy Changes
Soulverse may update this Data Policy periodically. Material updates will be reflected by the Effective Date and, where appropriate, communicated in-app or via other channels.
